More than 80 percent of internet users search via a search engine like Google, Bing or Yahoo. Organic listings dominate click-throughs. There are more than 1.4 billion searches conducted every hour, of those, 70 percent of click-throughs are derived from organic results. Organic results are listings that have been optimized for search. Google, which currently dominates search, has become very geo-targeted.
In turn, local SEO has become increasingly important in placing listings on top of search. Changes in search algorithms continue to increase Google's dependence on localized content - and the other search engines are following suit.
